About Me
Hey there! I'm Peter Wooley. I've been working as a designer and web developer since 2005. For the last 15 of those years, I've been working in the cybersecurity space for McAfee Enterprise, now Trellix, creating powerful and straight-forward workflows for administrators protecting endpoints as well as the users who need fast and invisible security.
I grew up loving the web. I created my first Final Fantasy VIII fan site in 1999 and was always trying to figure out what's next. In college, I learned analog tools can help us build a better what's next. My design process may end with digital mockups, front-end prototypes, or design systems, but it always starts with pen, paper, and a conversation.
Working directly with engineering and product management on products, I've created and evangelized design systems to help unify experiences and simplify design implementations for engineers across products. Before working in cybersecurity, I created experiences for online shopping and electronics manufacturers and taught introductory to advanced JavaScript as an adjunct professor.
Outside work, I love going to Disneyland with my wife and two kids, playing all the great video games, tinkering with electronics, and building UI Addons for World of Warcraft.
