Launchy

After my discovery of Launchy, an Open Source Keystroke Launcher for Windows, I had to find a way to contribute to the cause. As my forté is not application development with the C programming language, I decided to remake the Web site.

In true Web 2.0 form, I used my favorite shade of blue, a glassy highlight, and a spiky orange badge. With no design constraints, I made the deign that felt good. Upon sending the comp the lead developer of Launchy, he was on board. Taking advantage of the Mootools JavaScript framework, we put the limited content all on one page and created smooth transitions between each section.

Since then, Launchy has gone on to receive numerous accolates, including mentions on both LifeHacker and Windows Weekly.
