ChildSeek Network

A redesign was needed for the missing persons resource, ChildSeek Network. The team built a fresh, cohesive interface around the existing content management system, and trimmed the existing site down in number of pages, as well as reducing the size of the home page from 123kb to 53kb.

The look and feel went through many iterations, but the team and the client ended up deciding on a comp that utilized a new concept for all of us. Instead of utilizing welcome text or a picture on the front page, we examined the needs of the users themselves and discovered the top three things users were doing: searching, sharing, and looking for the history of the organization. With that in mind, we crafted a new home page that acted a more of a jumping place for users to delve further into the site.
